Antique & Stone Crackle

This product is a single component water-based, 0 V.O.C. acrylic coating. Specially formulated for use as decorative Faux Finishing product. CRACKLE has a superior hardness, block and abrasion resistance. It cures to clear coating so does not change color when pigmented. It is compatible with different water-based and universal pigment dispersions without changing the shade of hue of the tinted color. It is a two-coat system, first coat is AcroSize, which is applied first, and then soon after the base-coat is dried topcoat is applied. After drying period, cracks starting to appear. CRACKLE TOPCOAT is supplied in two types of viscosity; low viscosity provides small cracks, so called Antique Crackle. High viscosity version Stone Crackle exhibits more profound and larger cracks. They can be used for both interior/exterior application.

TYPICAL USES
As a special crackling effect in faux finished for interior/exterior application

APPLICATION
After surface preparation, using brush or roller apply AcroSize (crackle size) and let it stack-up. Apply CRACKLE TOPCOATS with roller or brush and let it dry completely. During drying process the crack will start to appear. Thick coats of CRACKLE will give larger cracks, and vice versa. After drying apply a thin coat of Aqua Wax for better protection and blocking properties.
